Isaac Obolensky Dell was born on January 21, 2001. He loves to draw and of all the many things he enjoys, drawing is probably at the top of the list along with reading, writing stories, and goofing around. Isaac attends Sunny Hollow Montesorri school in St. Paul. He lives in Minneapolis with his writer mother Kira Obolensky, artist father Irve Dell and supremely cute dog Pirate.

Born: St. Paul, MN, 1961
I graduated from Williams College in 1983 with a major in biology and significant course work in art. I received an MFA in sculpture from the University of Minnesota in 1988. I am currently an Associate Professor of Art at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. I live in Minneapolis with my wife, playwright, Kira Obolensky and our son Isaac.
I have exhibited both locally and regionally including exhibitions at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Rochester Arts Center and St. John’s University. I was awarded a Bush Fellowship in 1988. My work is fairly evenly divided between gallery or studio pieces, private commissions and public art projects. Recent commissions include work for the Ohio State University, Grinnell College, Inver Hills Community College and the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
I'm still intrigued by art and its relationship to every day life. I like to make ordinary objects and spaces extra ordinary (extraordinary). I often use functional objects or concepts as points of departure for my sculptures. Recently, I have started to explore object and puppet theater - most notably with Quick a successful collaboration with Kira Obolensky that toured to the Prague Fringe Festival in 2006.
